Finite Element Analysis - Tandem Bicycle Frame
Using finite element analysis to develop and test a tandem bicycle frame in regards to it’s load bearing capabilities, it’s fatigue analysis and it’s natural frequency. The bike frame was tested and iterated in order to decrease it’s weight and improve it’s natural frequency.
This project shows the application of FE theory, using techniques such as mesh refinement in order to reduce errors in the model, and estimate the real world performance of the bike.
